Supercars don't need much assistance grabbing attention, but some purchasers want something a little more exotic than the "right out of the showroom" style. That's why firms like Zacoe have created an entire business dedicated to making more aggressive bodykits for supercars. Bodykits for a range of sports cars and supercars, including the Toyota Supra and a widebody McLaren 720S, have been built by the performance firm. Zacoe has produced a one-of-a-kind kit for the Ferrari 488 GTB, which is no longer in production.

The Zacoe 488 carbon fiber performance package, which celebrates Ferrari's 75th anniversary, is inspired by GT3 racecars and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novels.

The front lip, side skirts, and diffuser side flaps, according to Zacoe, are supposed to resemble Lu Bu's horse's armor. Lu Bu's horse is named Chi Tu (which means Red Hare) in the narrative, which is a weak connection to the traditional red prancing horse.

Elements of Lu Bu's and Chi Tu's armor influenced certain sections of the bodykit. The side skirts, for example, are designed to resemble the leg armor from Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors 9, while the rear side flaps are inspired by Lu Bu's renowned "antenna" combat headgear. These parts add drama to the 488 without being overbearing, while also improving handling in the GT3 manner.

The package also includes a Fi Exhaust valvetronic exhaust system, which enhances the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8's sound. The exhaust flaps can be controlled via a remote control or a mobile app. The exhaust has carbon fiber tips that are believed to mirror the original design given by Ferrari.

The Zacoe 488 carbon fiber performance kit, like every special edition Ferrari, will be available in limited quantities. Customers who wish to make their 488 GTB seem more like a Chinese warhorse will be limited to only five units. Presumably because only five 488 owners would ever consider making such a move.
